My name is Heather, I am the sole owner and operator of Rocky Mountain Axolotls LLC.  I am a Colorado Native and absolutely love this state!  I have been raising axolotls since 2018, I originally got into them because of my obsession with freshwater fish.  I now own 0 fish and all my tanks are full of axolotls! I like to consider myself a hobby breeder; I do this for the love of the axys and also to improve their genetic lines and raise healthy babies for others to bring into their families as pets. But I do it on a small scale due to space and time constraints. Aside from being an avid Axolotl nerd I wear many other hats. I am a full time insurance agent, I have a pet sitting business, I am a mom to 3 boys, a dog mom and have other reptiles, amphibians and inverts as well.  I spend a lot of time outdoors with my dogs hiking and training with them for they were my #1 passion before I got into the hobby.  I strive my best to have a variety of axolotls available at all times but sometimes I do need to take a break and spend time with my family and my pets so there may be times I’m low on inventory or selection.   I get many requests to come to my home and see the axolotls which I can not accommodate at this time.  I do post as many updates on social media and my website as possible.  I appreciate each and every one of you for following me and my venture and also to those who have gotten axys from me! I couldn’t do this without you!  March 13, 2021 my first official clutch for RMA hatched , that’s over 365 days of water changes and feeding babies and going strong!
